Community collaboration cultivates health
Healthy Communities Catalyst
Beth joined the BNMC in November 2016 as our Healthy Communities Catalyst, strategizing procurement of locally produced foods in schools, hospitals, workplaces, and communities on and near the Medical Campus as well as throughout Buffalo. In her role, Beth helps increase the demand for and access to healthy, affordable foods and opportunities for daily physical activity for residents in Buffalo. In addition, Beth works with Buffalo Public Schools (BPS) Farm To School initiative and supports BPS’ youth advisors council, HYPE (Healthy Youth Positive Energy). Prior to BNMC, Beth worked at Wellness Corporate Solutions as a Health Educator Dietitian and as a Sports Dietitian in the University at Buffalo Athletic Department. Beth holds a Bachelor’s in Dietetics from SUNY Oneonta and Masters’ degrees in both Clinical Nutrition and Public Health from SUNY Buffalo. In her free time, she enjoys being in nature, hiking, camping and kayaking.
