Construction Updates

We’re Building

If you haven’t been to the Medical Campus recently, you’re in for a surprise. Investments totaling $1.4 billion have been made on the Campus over the past decade, growing from 4.5 million square feet of clinical, research, and development space to nearly 9 million in just over 10 years. A new Children’s hospital, a new Medical School, a new Clinical Sciences Center, and space for private sector companies have opened within the past year or will open by the end of 2017.  This will bring the number of employees working on the Medical Campus to 15,000 by 2018, up from 7,000 in 2002.

Our partners have invested in Campus facilities and enhanced infrastructure leading to a more cohesive and attractive Medical Campus “neighborhood,” coupled with significant neighborhood outreach that has led to a vibrant and engaged community.
